The Epilepsy Foundation Central & South Texas is fundraising in a daring way this year. “Different times call for different measures to fundraise and continue to support our epilepsy community,” says CEO Sindi Rosales. This will be the first time the Epilepsy Foundation Central & South Texas partners with the Over the Edge promotions company, allowing the San Antonio community a once-in-a-lifetime chance to rappel down the Thompson San Antonio Riverwalk while helping the epilepsy community.
On December 11th, at 8:00am, The San Antonio community can join other brave participants as they come together to help the Foundation and its mission. Participants that raise a minimum of $1000 will have an opportunity to rappel 21 stories from the top of the Thompson Hotel by signing up at https://EpilepsyOverTheEdge.com/. “With the funds we raise, we will be able to continue to offer free medical care, medication assistance, counseling services as well as other life skills vital to the epilepsy community,” says Rosales.
The Over the Edge fundraiser will be the Foundation’s fourth and final event for 2021 to help raise funds and awareness for the services it provides for the epilepsy community. Approximately 160,000 individuals are living with epilepsy in Central and South Texas. The Epilepsy Foundation serves 79 Central and South Texas counties, including the communities of San Antonio, Austin, and the entire South Texas border region.
Epilepsy Foundation Central & South Texas’s (EFCST) mission is to lead the fight to overcome the challenges of living with epilepsy and to accelerate therapies to stop seizures, find cures, and save lives.
EFCST was founded in 1993 to improve the quality of life of nearly 160,000 persons with epilepsy residing in 79 Central & South Texas counties. We strive to end the myths and misunderstandings about epilepsy while helping individuals with epilepsy live full and meaningful lives.
