Palo Alto College is thrilled to announce that Alicia Villarreal will make history as the first female artist to headline the event’s main stage! PACfest is scheduled for Thursday, May 1, 2025 from 12 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

“We’re so excited to make history at PACfest 2025 with Alicia Villarreal as our first female headliner, ” shared Dr. Robert Garza, President of Palo Alto College. “Alicia has paved the way for many, breaking barriers in a genre that was once mostly dominated by men. Having her on our stage is a true celebration of culture and strength, and we’re honored to celebrate this milestone together.”

Alicia Villarreal has earned her place as one of Latin music’s most influential and beloved stars. A Grammy-nominated artist and winner of two Latin Grammy Awards, Alicia’s career spans decades. She has built a reputation as one of the most powerful voices in Tejano, Norteño, and Regional Mexican music. Her career took off in the late 1990s as part of the legendary Grupo Límite, where she became a household name in a predominantly male-dominated genre. Voy a Conquistar,” “La Mentira,” and “Que Manera de Perder,” Villarreal has captivated audiences worldwide with her passionate performances and unmistakable voice.

Alicia Villarreal has helped redefine the landscape of Latin music, earning recognition for her vocal talent and empowering women in music. Her incredible body of work has earned her numerous accolades, including Latin Billboard Awards, Premios lo Nuestro, and Premios Billboard de la Música Latina.

A cherished Southside tradition since the early 1990s, PACfest has grown into the ultimate Fiesta® celebration in San Antonio. Officially part of Fiesta® since 2003, this family-friendly event brings the community together with live performances, delicious food, children’s games, Social Media Alley, and more—all in support of student organizations and community projects at Palo Alto College.
