Walking into the beautiful Magnolia Halle located on Huebner rd next to the infamous Magnolia Pancake Haus, I see a beautiful venue with high ceilings, beautiful decor set for a special wedding. I sit at the table across from the beautiful Larissa Leath, founder and owner of local business, The Floral Standard. Leath in her free time between making decorative floral walls and her main job, as a licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner, has created the first annual Galentine’s Day Brunch. The event will take place at 10319 Huebner Rd on February 13th from 10am-2pm.

The goal of Galentine’s Day Brunch is to raise proceeds for local non-profit organizations (NPO) that focus on the multi-faceted aspects of women’s development while providing the necessary tools for women to thrive. The NPOs present will be Period SA, Dress for Success SA, and The Boardroom Project. During the event a clothing drive will be going on and they will accept feminine hygiene products at the door. Diamonds Direct and Kendra Scott will hold a jewelry auction- 100% of the proceeds will go to the above NPOs.

“I’ve found myself in a good “place” and now I need to shift the focus of my business to helping others in a greater way. It is a true blessing as a small business owner to have the opportunity to assist in bringing non-profits together. Collaborating their efforts will maximize the support they can provide to the San Antonio area.” says Leath. Raffles by Estancia Del Norte, Bio2 Skin Studio, The DermaFuse Studio, Sweat Equity Infrared Saunsa, The Skin Lab, Cypress Gorres Artisty and the Jay Bertschy Hair will be taking place throughout the event. Let’s give back to local nonprofits while supporting women in our community!
