The Second Annual Graduation Parade for Harlandale High School, McCollum High School, Frank Tejeda Academy, and S.T.E.M. Early College High School in Harlandale Independent School District is in full swing this spring. The district-wide celebration, organized by southside community members, celebrates this year’s graduating class after an unconventional year in the midst of a global pandemic.
Participating seniors will line up at Harlandale Memorial Stadium and decorate their vehicles in school colors, while the community is encouraged to park alongside the parade route on Roosevelt or Military Drive to watch the parade which will begin at 11:00 a.m. The parade will conclude on the corner of Pleasanton and Military.
The community is invited to attend both the kick off at the staging area and the parade live stream station at the Roosevelt and March Ave intersection.
A livestream of this parade will be broadcasted on The Carpenters Apprentice’s Facebook page for those who cannot attend in-person. Parent organizer Angel Reyes and livestream hosts Roy Aguillon of The Carpenters Apprentice and April Contero of Que Southside will be available for interview upon request.
