Gary Job Corps Center: Job Corps is a NO-COST education and career technical training program administered by the U.S. Department of Labor to help young people ages 18-24 improve their lives and careers.

Gary Job Corps opened in 1965 a few months after President Lyndon Johnson announced at his alma mater his goal to create a Job Corps to help young people “contribute to the prosperity of the community, to ultimately become leaders of their fellow men.” Founded at the site of a World War II Air Force Training Base, Gary Job Corps has the largest GED program in Texas and offers 20 career technical training opportunities.

The program is FREE and is concentrating on students between 18 to 24 years of age. The San Antonio Admissions Office is located at Blanco Plaza, 6609 Blanco Road, Ste. 234, San Antonio, TX 78216.
