The Latino Leaders Network (LLN), a non-profit organization dedicated to “Bringing Leaders Together,” convened the 35th Tribute to Mayors to honor San Antonio Mayor Ron Nirenberg with the Antonio Villaraigosa Leadership Award. Hosted by Latino Leaders Network Chairman Mickey Ibarra, the event took place on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at The Mayflower Hotel in Washington, DC. Former Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and Former State Senator Leticia Van De Putte headlined the program and made the presentation. Several San Antonians were in attendance including City Manager Erick Walsh, Councilman Manny Palaez, Airport Director Jesus Saenz and San Antonio’s premier Chef Johnny Hernandez among others.
U.S. Conference of Mayors (USCM) President Mayor Francis X. Suarez of Miami, USCM Past-President Mayor Greg Fischerof Louisville and Mayor Regina Romero of Tucson delivered special guest remarks.
