With President-elect Trump’s recent cabinet selections, there’s been quite a bit of public discussion about the qualifications and readiness of these individuals. Running large, complex organizations requires significant expertise, and many argue that these nominees may not have the experience needed for their roles on both sides. Do you believe these selections will bring a fresh perspective to government, or do you share concerns about their preparedness to manage these departments effectively? Let’s talk about it…

Janie Martinez Gonzales : “The success of these appointees may depend on their willingness to collaborate with experienced career officials, learn quickly, and leverage their unique skill sets in ways that benefit the broader public. It’s a delicate balance between innovation and institutional knowledge, and only time will reveal whether these appointments will achieve the desired outcomes.”

Preston Brady: “As long as we the people don’t make these positions a requirement to be qualified for, We will continue to vote out of anger and fear. The game has always been set up for us to vote between the lesser of two evils instead of the greater good.”

Ernest Sanchez: “ A true leader does not create separation. A true leader brings people together.”

Cheryl Goodell: “If you’re a Democrat and ever want to be trusted again you’ll need to start taking an active role in correcting what you did to America in the last 4 years.”

Reid Watanabe: “That is so obviously going to open up those states to lawsuits. You don’t need to be a fortune teller to see that coming. It is going to be an absolute MESS. Do the states that voted for Trump understand that many of THEM are the ones who get the most funding from the federal government for education? States like Alaska, the Dakotas, Mississippi, Montana, Arkansas, etc… always are at the top of the list almost every year for states that use the highest percentage of federal” money on their states’ education. And she’s just going to let states fend for themselves and gut the DOE? I hope Trump voters know what they are in for. It was outlined in Project 2025, so they can’t really blame anyone else.”

John Roberts: “After Trump making the greatest comeback in history. It is going to be political suicide for anyone in his party to stand in his way.”

James Paliotto: “A lot of corrupt republican senators have been exposed by Matt Gaetz due to their insider trading. Maybe Matt may be a tougher pick. He’s made enemy’s exposing these corrupt RHINOS.”

Brad Lott: “As big as Trump won, I think he should have whoever HE decides he wants around him & to get the job done. I trust whoever he chooses will do a good job, just my opinion.”

Anthony DiPierro: “Here comes an army of women to say they were sexually assaulted 40 years ago and they just remembered the details when they saw this list.”

Barry Martin: “Select them from the local high school they’ll be better than Joe‘s picks.”

Julian Kruger: “I think they are all good choices. Not so sure about Matt Goetz.”

Carol Ann Booker: “I think he made some good picks … President Trump wanted the best for the country and the American people.”

Mary Paich: “I do not agree with Mike Huckabee as Ambassador to Israel. It appears he is not aware of the demographic history of the people of Palestine! Palestine was once a mixture of Christian (2 different periods of Roman influence, Arabs (Orthodox Christians, Byz) Muslims and a majority were Jews, Jews who had been wandering in search of their promised land. Research history… Arab Orthodox Christians, who never left their promised land. Through the centuries they have survived by fending for themselves. For those who are unable to escape to a safe haven (ie U.S. etc) or leave their homeland, they continue to fight not only the radical Hamas but the incoming bombs. Palestine and Israel can peacefully coexist with help.”

Angelo Cappella: “I don’t think we’ll see democrats in power for many years to come. They ruined themselves. Here is my list: They lied- big time. Let men join women’s teams. Men use girls’ bathrooms. Open borders. Try to defund police. Take away people’s rights, forcing them to take shots, and a bunch of other stuff. Hopefully you will never get back in power with this mindset And I’m very happy.”

Norman Webster: “And the Trump Circus marches on.”

Joel Morehead: “I sure hope these appointments don’t have to be replaced thru special elections. The Republicans could lose the majority even for a small length of time. In some states the Governor can appoint a replacement, but I’m pretty sure that the House requires a special election. Even if a Republican can win that seat back it could take several months to conduct an election which would leave empty seats, Republicans only have a one seat majority and only a two seat majority in the Senate.”

Pammella Heisler: “I do think journalists are misreading the public’s concern about our food safety and how it impacts kids’ health. Several concerned people are supportive of RFK so this is another example of not listening to the concerns of the American public. Just my opinion.”

Bella Dina: “Far it be for me to dismiss his confidence, in any decision that HOUSE and SENATE republicans decide to make, whether successful or CATASTROPHIC to AMERICANS and our Democracy , will be WHOLLY OWNED by them, legal or NOT!””
