Celebrando Tradiciones — Espíritu Flamenco is a special evening of Flamenco dance by the Guadalupe Dance Company accompanied by the musical talents of Flamenco guitarist Steve Arispe, percussionist Edwardo Rios and San Antonio’s own cantaora Chayito Champion.
Celebrating 32 years of unprecedented artistry with over a 20-year history of working with Master Flamenco artists in residence, the Dance Company’s depth of work intrigues audiences and choreographers alike. Regularly incorporating Flamenco into its repertoire of thematic ventures and modeled after its vault of work in Mexican Folklorico, the Dance Company’s Espiritu Flamenco production celebrates the essence of life, relationship, renewal and gratitude. Expect an electric evening where dance and music come alive on the stage of the Guadalupe Theater!
This performance will be one of the last opportunities to watch a live Flamenco performance in the Guadalupe Theater at its present brilliance before going under renovation.
