Though Bianca Jagger captured the world’s attention as the wife of Rolling Stones’ Mick Jagger, the former fashion queen and jet-setter, now divorced, today is busy pursuing human rights infractions throughout the world. Since the late 1970s, Jagger has been a voice for the impoverished and oppressed people throughout Latin America and Bosnia-Herzegovina. She is the recipient of the United Nations Earth Day International Award and the goodwill ambassador for the Albert Schweitzer Institute for Humanities. She also has testified before Congres on the rapes of Bosnian Women and fought environmental encroachment in her native country of Nicaragua.
