“I paint in the styles of fauvism, expressionism, realism and abstract. In the beginning of my career I drew inspiration from iconic figures of the Mexican Revolution and the Golden Age of Cinema, promoting our rich and colorful culture. Lately, I have been focusing on creating abstract paintings that represent emotion, melodies and musical compositions. To enhance this work I compose songs with my electric guitar using latin rhythms such as rancheras, boleros, cumbias, rock and even heavy metal.
In music, the major chords produce sounds considered happy, powerful and epic. While minor chords create romantic, melancholic and sad emotions. I translate these sentiments with a visual language using primary and secondary colors to transmit energy and vibration to the viewer while suggesting a narrative.”
